Singing helps stroke patients recover speech-- "Music affects not only our moods but speech too. In what can be termed as a breakthrough in the treatment of stroke patients, a new study suggests that singing may help restore speech in patients.
In a study, Gottfried Schlaug, an associate professor of neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, states that stroke patients can recover speech faster by singing instead of speaking.
